What is
Akabanaa? |
|
Akabanaa is a store
specializing solely in Okinawan products. We are the
ONLY retail store of this kind outside of Japan and our
mission is to introduce and promote the Okinawan culture
first to the United States and eventually expand to the
rest of the world. Everything in our store, from food
to gift items, is imported from Okinawa.
“Akabanaa” is the Okinawan
word for “hibiscus”. The beautiful red flower
thrives throughout the Okinawan islands. |

traditional Japanese fabric hung to divide space in homes and
